When the coal injection lance is inserted into the blast furnace, the ball valve opens, and when the lance is pulled out from the blast furnace tuyere, the ball inside the valve automatically closes under the combined action of the blast furnace pressure and its own gravity, thereby preventing the escape of hot gas from the furnace.

      This ingenious design makes the coal injection operation more efficient and safe. Specifically, when the coal injection lance is inserted into the blast furnace tuyere through the quick-connect socket of the ball valve, the ball inside the valve is lifted by the lance. Then, a quick connection is achieved between the quick-connect head fixed on the coal injection lance with sealed packing and the quick-connect socket of the ball valve.
